WikiProject Iowa

wp:WikiProject Iowa is inactive, but I'm running into articles that could be tagged as such, and aren't tagged with template:WPUSA. Maybe we could update the WPIOWA to be part of WPUSA, like it is for the states like Colorado, etc., that are tied into the WPUSA template? If there's no objection, I'll be glad to set it up. Funandtrvl (talk) 02:56, 20 October 2020 (UTC)

I am not part of this specific WikiProject, but that makes sense as a tie-in, especially if other states are already. Rauisuchian (talk) 10:05, 22 October 2020 (UTC)
Thanks, I've added WPIOWA to the template WPUSA. There are 3,000+ articles populating the categories. I don't know why the project was taken down! Funandtrvl (talk) 22:51, 22 October 2020 (UTC)

"United States" in article titles

I have noticed "United States" and "U.S." are both used in titles, whereas MOS:ACROTITLE seems to prescribe the full name in the title, unless the abbreviation is significantly more well known. Are there any specific guidelines or conventions regarding the use of one or the other? Thanks --17jiangz1 (talk) 11:22, 21 October 2020 (UTC)

Request for edit/revision

If you find yourself wanting to correct some listcruft and WP:OR, the List of active separatist movements in North America is pretty bad and needs some refining.

Trimmed down a bit already. I feel like some obsessed fringe editors over years got it to the state it is in. I also feel like lumping in autonomy and regionalist groups with hate groups is pretty bad. Not sure how best to organize the article, but it seems like each entry should be so obvious that it has its own article already, and really only needs a single bullet point per 'movement'.

Thanks for taking a look. Rauisuchian (talk) 09:58, 22 October 2020 (UTC)

"MIMAL" requested article

So I was browsing the requested articles and saw MIMAL. It was Afd'ed in 2019, so I'm going to remove it from the requested articles list. --JackFromReedsburg (talk) 17:46, 26 October 2020 (UTC)
