Giân-gú (言語)[1] he̍k-chiá gí-giân / gú-giân (語言), ia̍h-sī kán-tan kóng ōe (話)[2], sī 1 thò tāi-piáu kap thoân-ta̍t ì-gī ê hē-thóng. Gí-giân ū kiat-kò·, pau-koat gí-hoat, siaⁿ-ūn. Gí-giân thàu-kòe hû-hō thoân-ta̍t; hû-hō ê mûi-kài pau-koat siaⁿ-im, chhiú-sè, piáu-chêng, chu-sè, bûn-jī, téng-téng.

Gí-giân lêng-le̍k sī lâng siōng ki-pún ê hêng-ûi chi it. Lâng ê gí-giân chē-chē khoán; chóng--sī bô 1 thò goân-chek ū-hoat-tō· khek-koan tēng-gī gí-giân chi-kan ê piⁿ-kài.
