Template:Wikiquote redirect
This template is only for quotation entries that currently exist on Wikiquote and which, due to previous re-creations, are likely to be re-created in unencyclopedic form. Do not place it on every possible list of quotations. This template is a self-reference and so is part of the Wikipedia project rather than the encyclopaedic content.
Usage
- {wq} {subst:longcomment}
- Provides a soft redirect to the Wikiquote page, using the current page's name. Then it also substitutes a {longcomment} to prevent a page from being listed on Special:Shortpages.
- {wq|{PAGENAME} {subst:longcomment}
- Provides a link to the Wikiquote page for the given word.
- {wq|Category:Proverbs|many=yes}
- Used for pages linking to lists or categories on Wikiquote.
Notes:
- This template should not be used via substitution in most cases.
- This template will categorise tagged articles into Category:Redirects to Wikiquote.
