John Holbrook "Jack" Vance (28 Agustus 1916 – 26 April 2013) adalah seorang penulis fiksi ilmiah, fantasi dan misteri asal Amerika. Melalui sebagian besar karyanya yang diterbitkan di bawah nama Jack Vance, ia juga menulis 9 novel misteri memakai nama lengkapnya John Holbrook Vance, tiga di bawah pseudonim Ellery Queen, dan masing-masing satu memakai pseudonim pseudonyms Alan Wade, Peter Held, John van See, dan Jay Kavanse.[1][4] Beberapa edisi dari karya terbitannya menyebut tahun kelahirannya adalah 1920.
