• ජල පෘෂ්ඨ මත පාවෙන අන්වීක්ෂීය ඇල්ගී ශාක ප්ලවාංග ලෙසද හැදින්වෙයි.
• හරිතප්‍රද හෙවත් ක්ලෝරෝෆිල් වර්ණකය අඩංගු බැවින් ප්‍රභාසංශ්ලේෂණය සිදුකරයි
• උල්වා වනි සමහර ඇලිගී විශේෂ පියෙවි ඇසට පෙනේ.
