Pope Peter III (born Markus Josef Odermatt on 13 March 1966 in Stans, Nidwalden, Switzerland[1]), is the 4th Pope of the Palmarian Catholic Church. He succeeded Gregory XVIII on 22 April 2016.
Early life
Markus Josef Odermatt was born in Stans, Switzerland in 1966. He joined the Palmarian Catholic Church in 1985 and served as a missionary in South America. In 2011, he was appointed Secretary of State for the church.[2][1][1]
Papacy
Odermatt became the fourth pope of the Palmarian Catholic Church in 2016, taking the papal name Peter III. He succeeded Gregory XVIII, who left the church and reconciled with the Vatican. Peter III has led the church since his election.[3][1][4]
