Mission is a city in Johnson County, Kansas, United States. It is part of the Kansas City Metropolitan Area. In 2020, 9,954 people lived there.[3]

2020 census

The 2020 census says there were 9,954 people, 5,295 households, and 2,240 families living in Mission. Of the households, 46.6% owned their home and 53.4% rented their home.

The median age was 35.6 years. Of the people, 77.3% were White, 4.8% were Black, 4.0% were Asian, 0.4% were Native American, 0.1% were Pacific Islanders, 3.2% were from some other race, and 10.2% were two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 11.4% of the people.[3][6]
