Stendal

Hansestadt Stendal or Stendal (German pronunciation: [ˈʃtɛndaːl]) is a town in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. About 40,000 people live in the city.

It is the capital of the Stendal District and the main town in the Altmark region.
