Usage
This template is used for displaying a date in both Old Style and New Style, including a discreet link to the article Old Style and New Style dates, in cases where the year is the same in both Styles.
{OldStyleDate|NS day and month|year|OS day and month}
If it helps you remember the order of the parameters, you may optionally choose to think of it like this:
{OldStyleDate|NS day and month|NS year|OS day and month|OS year}
Note that in this usage the fourth parameter will be ignored when the template is rendered.
Examples
- Usage:
{OldStyleDate|2 February|1905|20 January}- Result: 2 February [O.S. 20 January] 1905
- Usage:
{OldStyleDate|February 2|1905|January 20}- Result: February 2 [O.S. January 20] 1905
